New Helm & Staff

We just finished running a guild Trail of the Crusader [10-man], and I got myself some new gear. :3 I'm quite happy.

As you can see, some things have been updated from my previous gear post; mainly the addition of a Royal Moonshroud Robe, and then the two new things I just got today.

The Moonshroud Robe was quite difficult for me to obtain. I had enough of the Moonshroud and the two yellow gems from just the various materials I could gather and obrtain, but the Crusader Orbs was where my trouble came from.

However, the price for the Crusader Orbs has dropped substantially over the past few weeks. Because of this, I was able to get most of them for around 400g each ((with a few going as high as 550g)). While this drained me of all my gold, I was able to get a good friend of mine to make this robe for me, and now I love it. :3

As for the other two new things I got, I got a new helm; the Helm of Clouded Sight.

The main thing I don't like about this helm is that it covers all of my face. But I can live with that. It's just looks, and I got it for the stats and how much better it is then my older one; the Conqueror's Cowl of Sanctification. I'll be keeping the cowl for my set, but won't be wearing it anymore unless I get more of that particular set and use it for RP reasons.

The last thing I got was a new staff ((the Enlightenment)) to replace my Mariel's Sorrow & Antique Cornerstone Grimoire combo.

From the calculations I made, I loss some healing power and intellect, but I gain much more critical hit and almost double my haste. I will be keeping the Dagger / off-hand combo with me though; at least for a little while, till I decide if I like this staff more or not.

I may end up sticking with the staff though since it's been ages since I last had one, and I kind of miss having one with me. :3

Pilgrim's Bounty

Well, earlier this week, a brand new holiday was introduced into WoW: Pilgrim's Bounty. As you can see in the above screenshot, I have finished all the achievements, and got myself the title and the Plump Turkey pet. Bellow will be all the achievements for this holiday, and my thoughts on the processes on how to complete them, and how I felt about them.

This one wasn't that hard; just took a little figuring out to know that whichever chair you are sitting in ((each chair at the tables correspond to a specific food)) was the one you would pass if you had someone selected. Basically, just needed to pass the specific food more then once, so that when they already had some, it bounced off their head; resulting in a food fight.

Easy enough to get, so no complaints there; just no real challenge.

Now that I figured out how to 'pass' the food, I was able to finish this up. Not much to say about it other then having to rotate around the table wasn't too much fun; especially on the first day it started when everyone ele was trying to do it as well. XD had to rush to the chairs so that no one else would get them.

Now, while sitting at the tables, if you eat 5 stacks of each of the foods, you would get a Spirit of Sharing buff on you. This buff would increase your reputation gained by 10% for 1 hour; useful for when you are working on rep like I am with the Kurenai. But having to go to each of the faction's major cities in order to do this achievement was a little bit of a time waster. I did it since it was easy, but there is no real reason to go to each city. They offer the same buff regardless of where you were at.

Speaking of eating, this one was fun. I had just gotten my chefs hat right before doing this, so I was able to cook all these things real quickly; and since they are required cooking for the dailies of this holiday, this achievement came naturally.

Just like any other cooking achievement, not that hard to do other then gathering up the ingredients. That's about the hardest of it.

As yes, the 'daily' achievement. Can't for get this one. Just do the dailies, do them all, do them once or twice; doesn't matter, and you will have this one in no time at all.

Now we get into some of the fun achievements. This one was simple; just sit at each o the horde's tables. Orgrimmar and Silvermoon Cities was a joke; right outside the city gates; thus I wasn't PvP flagged for either one.

However, Thunder Bluff and Undercities was within the city limits and you did get flagged. Luckily for me, I was able to get in and out quickly enough that I didn't have any trouble with anyone.

Undercity was the only place I got close. Someone spotted me and right after I got the achievement ((since I saved it for last)) I had to rush out while they chased me. XD was great fun.

Just like the one with going to your own faction's cities, this one was kind of pointless. If it was something like stealing the food from them, it would be more interesting, but just sitting at the table had no thrill to it.

I don't know what they were thinking with this one. It was a pain to get and to do. I was able to do it after eating some Tracker Snacks and making a simple macro that would target them and shoot my wand, but was still a pain to accomplish.

Yet it was one of the funnest ones I've done in a long time. I really enjoyed it, and would love to see more like this.

I was able to solo Talon King Ikiss quite easily on normal difficulty in holy spec, so this one wasn't that hard to do. just took some time since I had to replace both my helm and my robe, I had around 12k mana ((compared to my normal 23k)), and so couldn't cast as many spells.

I mostly left Damage of Time ((DoTs)) on him while running around and avoiding his arcane blasts.

Yet another fun one to do, but not something I'd want to do each holiday.

Now this, this one was the most awful achievement I've seen. Many of them I was able to find easily, but then trying to find an Orc and a Troll rogue on my realm was like following the plot of LOST after watching season 3 before the first two.

The only reason I was able to get it was because I farmed the starting zone of the Orcs and Trolls till I saw some low level ones come and I shot them on sight. It was quite funny actually seeing them run away, but still...

And the do all the other achievements to get me achievement.

All in all, I liked this holiday. The way they handled the outfits was different, and I liked that. It wasn't about doing the dailies everyday in order to get enough 'tokens' to purchase the garb, but just do them once and pick which piece you want. I had to do it for several days to get all the pieces AND enough guns to shoot all the rogues, but it wasn't that bad.

I'll be adding this outfit with the rest of my holiday outfits; and hope that new things will be around next year.

WoW's 5th Birthday

'nuff said...

Naxxramas [10-man]

For some reason, I never finished this up till last night. Our guild was working on doing an Undying run of Naxxramas [10-man] ((which we failed miserably at XD)), and and I finally downed the stupid Dog, Gluth, getting me that Construct Quarter achievement, and the Fall of Naxxramas achievement.

Many of my raiding group don't really need anything from here anymore. Most of us are working on Ulduar [25-man], Trail of the Crusader [10-man] and various other raids like Onyxia [10-man] / [25-man] for the gear that we need.

However, there are some of us who are still trying to gather up some of the tier sets that do drop here. I was unlucky personally. Nothing from the priest tier sets dropped. It was all Warrior / DK / Shammy stuff. I did get the achievement though; so to me, that was worth it.

Now to work on the Undying again. We really need to get through that.

Netherwing

I finally, FINALLY finished up my reputation grind with the Netherwing Drakes. Out of all The Burning Crusade reputations, this was the first one I started ((because I just adore the mounts there)), but it wasn't the first one I ended. For some reason, I didn't like this grind that much, and so I would neglect it for other reputation grinds, like with the Sha'tari Skyguard.

I'm not sure what it was about this grind that I didn't like. I know that some of the quests were just combersome; grab his gland out of this animal to poison 12 groups, use the booterang on 20 people who are all spread out and never easy to spot unless close to the ground, etc. like that.

I guess the Sha'tari Skyguard rep was easier to me because I was able to simply kill these Skettis and gain reputation that way. Who knows.

Anyway, which one did I go with? I went with the black one; the Onyx. I think it's so cute looking; though I wish you could get them all instead of just the one. :(

Upon finishing this grind, I then gained another achievement as well. It is following, not much to really say there; beyond that I'm working on the next phase of it.

Call of the Crusade

We as a guild FINALLY downed all the bosses in the Trial of the Crusader [10-man] run. It was epic, fun, and quite challenging for us ((we are still in the process of working through Ulduar, so this was a surprise for us)).

By far, the Faction Champions was the hardest of the fights. We wipped around 8 times on them, trying various things with us; here is how our line up was.

• Healing / Tank Pally
• Healing Druid
• Healing Druid
• Disc Priest
• Archane Mage
• Frost / Archane Mage
• Elemental Shammy
• Tank Druid
• Marksmen Hunter
• Demon Warlock

Our Champion Factions consisted of:

• Healing Druid
• Healing Shammy
• ?? Warrior ((duel wielding))
• ?? Warlock
• ?? Pally

Mainly, we focused on trying to take down the druid. With two mages, we were able to sheep the Shammy down for a few seconds each time; so we had one mage focused just on doing that while we took down the druid. Once Hand of Protection was cast onto the Druid when his health got low, we then cast Heroism, and just pumped the DPS onto him; finally downing him.

We then turned our sights onto the Shammy itself. This one wasn't has hard, just too longer to down due to all the self healing and protections that priest was throwing out; but we all stayed up for this.

After that, they all fell quite fast; the Pally was our next target; and once he bubbled, I dispelled so we could continue with our onslaught; then the Warlock and he Priest went down.

For this entire fight, I didn't heal at all. We had two druid heals who did all the healing, and he pally tank swapped to healing for those massive single heals. I spend the entire fight simply using Mass Dispel; especially at the beginning. That was quite hectic.

Once they were down, the last two bosses weren't that hard. Whipped once on the twins while trying to get everyone use to the swapping of vortexes; and whipped once on that giant bug at the end due to simple error. But each time, we got up, dusted ourselves off, an continued on.

Sorry to say I didn't get any screenshots of us at the end. :( by that time, it was really early in the morning, and we all departed for bed. So hopefully, next week we can all do it again and I'll get some screenshots of it.

Various Achievements

I am now Epic XD The only reason I just now got this one was due to the fact of my trinkets. Many of my items I contain are ilvl 225+, but one of my trinkets I had was ilvl 200 ((mainly because it was still good too me; a nice stacking of Spell Power and such)), but then in our Ulduar run, a new trinket dropped that did the same thing, but for more! XD

Speaking of Ulduar, we finally downed Ignis the Furnace Master! We decided that instead of trying to do the whole kitting and junk with the adds, we just had one tank tank them while I healed him through it; and we just DPSed the boss down as quickly as possible. That seemed to work out well. :3

I was also able to finalyl do Flame Leviathan on the Chopper, getting this achievement as well. I am not a big fan of doing the chopper part of this. I like being a gunner personally; not having to worry with the boss that much; just the blue stuff I gotta shoot down.

Woo! I cooked many things ((well, only like 5 repeated over and over again)) and got 100 of these cooking awards. I've spent some on various recipes here and there, so I can't afford the hat yet, but I am close to it. 98 as of this posting. Only 2 more to go.

After doing one of our raids, many of us decided to do some heroics. One of them was the Trial of the Champion; and I got this from the Priest. :3 All I need now is to fight all the others; I really wanna fight Hogger. That sounds like it would be fun.

Now this one was fun. Having a good group with lots of DPS, a tank that held onto for dear life, and me making sure that they all stayed up while they accomplished this; now that is my kind of group. We flew thew this dungeon. I don't think we stayed there more then 15 minutes. We just went in, whooped some Ahn'kahet butt, and went home with our loot and vendor trash. I call that a successful run.

Just another mount to add to my mount collection. I really should be saving up my gold for the vendor Mammoth. That is going to take me forever to get.

New Mounts

As of a few days ago, I am now exaulted with the Skyguards; which means I now have some new mounts.

Once I hit the achievement ((which I have not taken a screenshot of)), I picked up every mount I could ((which the blue one that is pictured is my favorite thus far)), pushing me over the 50 mount limit in order to achieve the following:

Too bad I didn't get any screenshots of my new Albino Drake, but I'm sure many of you all either have it or have seen it. It's not one of the hardest mounts to get. All that is left for that achievement line is the 100 mount mark. I still got half my rep bar left to get exalted with the Netherdrakes, then it's time to move onto another. Maybe work more on the Argent Ground mounts with the Champion Seals and such.

Not Dead Yet

Things have been quite hectic here for me ((Out of Game)). So I haven't been doing much with this blog, I'm sorry to say. This is just a small post for the moment, just letting everyone know that I am still here, and do plan to continue with this.

The main problem with working retail is that this season is one of the worst to work. Black Friday and then the Holiday Season coming upon us doesn't leave me much time to do all the things I'd like too.

That includes play my favorite game. I have been doing some thing, and I'll have a post about that later, but for now, just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here and kicking. :3

Achieve Whore

Wow, today was a fun day (well, actually the past few days have been). I was able to gather a few pug groups for a few raids I've been meaning to do; and was able to complete a few other various achievements that I've been working on.

This was actually quite fun, even though we had some trouble at first. It took us a few tries to get coordinated enough for this to happen; and I really didn't like the Raid Leader at all. But once I join a group, I stick with it. I was able to become friends with one of the tanks, and that will help some in the future when we need a tank. xD

Not much to really say here. Just finally did enough quests to do this one. Man, where did all that gold go? I could really use it now.

Now this was fun XD This was my first attempt at doing Naxxramas 25-man, and so wasn't paying attention to which achievements there are or not. So this was a surprise when it popped onto my screen.

Basically, we downed the Arachnid Quarter in the 25-man Pug I mentioned above. The same tank from the Onyxia (25-man) was also present here. However, this pug group wasn't the greatest. Many of the members were new 80s, and I would've said to do the 10-man first, but we at least finished this quarter. Now to just pug the other three. XD

Our guild had scheduled an Obsidian Sanctum (10-man) +1 Drake up run followed by a Trial of the Crusader (10-man) trial. However, not enough people logged on early enough for the OS run, so we changed it to be an attempt at the 8-man achievement; which worked out well. Sartharion did take some time to down, but we one-shotted it basically. Just a few deaths here and there; but no actual whips or anything.

Companion Pets Store

Say hello to my new addition to my non-combat pet collection (both above and bellow). Aren't they so cute? :3 Not sure yet if it was worth the 20$ US for both of them; but the promise of at least 5$ US to a charity made me say it was worth it. I hope that more will be done like that; and I'll willingly purchase more for that.

Champion of Silver Confidant

It would seem I can now represent a 'city' when fighting in the Argent Tournament. :3 I just know that this opened up some new daily quests for me to do. Going to be doing them for a while now to see where that leads me too.

Yet another achievement to add to my collection. I finally got enough of those darn things to finish up that quest for the Darnassus Argent Tournament rep. Now to get the non-companion pet and save up for the mounts. XD Just the Dranai left to do.

Reputation (Wyrmrest Accord)

I have just finished with my tabard grind for the Wyrmrest Accord achievement.

I did this mainly to get the [Reins of the Red Drake] mount, but finding that there were also some head slot enchants like the [Arcanum of Blissful Mending] (which is the one I picked up) was a surprise. I wasn't expecting for those to be there really; I didn't pay much attention to them until after I became exalted.

Anyway, because of the above achievement, it also pushed me so that I had the following achievement as well.

Now I am exalted with 10 factions. It's going to take me some time to get the full 40 that you CAN get; but I'm still working on it. I'm close to being exalted with the Oracles, as well as the Netherdrakes. I'll be working on those two for now, and then look to see about getting another tabard for one of the other factions that I need.

New Shoulders & Off-Hand

I just finished running the Heroic Daily and then running through Onyxia 10-man in order to get enough Badge of Triumph for the new [Pauldrons of Revered Mortality].

They are the best shoulders I've had thus far, replacing the [Valorous Shoulderpads of Faith] I had previously. I am going to be keeping the [Valorous Shoulderpads of Faith] though since they are part of a set, and I will be collecting the rest of the set when I get the chance.

I also picked up a new off-hand item: the [Antique Cornerstone Grimoire]. It replaced an item I can't remember the name of, but was a blue item that I have had for many months now. I'm actually glad to see that thing gone and this in it's place. I picked it up from that same Onyxia 10-man run I mentioned earlier. It was the only thing I got from that run.

Darn my need to collect all that his game has to offer. XD
